    Phoenicia Students Release Fish into Creek Culminating a months-long environmental education program, first and second grade students at Phoenicia Primary School recently released brown trout fingerlings they had raised in their classrooms into a local creek. The release took place under drizzly skies on May 15.

    Reading Buddies is a weekly reading program in which Ms. McInerney's second grade students read to their little Head Start buddies once a week. The second graders have a little "buddy" assigned to them for the year. Select for short video.

  • Where Does Maple Syrup Come From Anyway?

    For the past couple of years Mr. Burkhardt has been teaching Phoenicia students about making maple syrup. Each class chooses a tree in front of the building for their class. That tree becomes theirs for the season as Mr. Burkhardt teaches them how to tap and collect sap.
