What is Infinite campus?

Infinite campus is a company that has created a database system for managing student information and maintaining their records.  This system is designed to manage attendance, grades, schedules, test scores and much more.  

How do I get my personal GUID number?

You will be sent a copy of the Onteora Parent Portal agreement, as well as an Acceptable Use Policy document to sign.  You will also have to fill out a census form.  These three documents will be mailed to you with your child’s report card, or you may download them by clicking on the Parent Agreement/Acceptable Use Policy & Census Form links from the Parent Portal homepage.  All documents must be completed, signed, and mailed to Onteora.  Once all information is collected and reviewed, your GUID number will be mailed to you.

How do I create my Parent Portal account once I have my GUID number?

Go to the Parent Portal homepage under the Technology link on either the high school or middle school homepage and click on Creating a Parent Portal Account.  Follow the necessary steps.

I forgot my user ID or Password, what do I do?

How can I add/delete emergency contacts?

You will need to stop by the school office with your ID and give them the updated emergency contact information.


What if I have questions about my child’s grades or assignments?

You can either call your child’s school and ask to speak to the teacher or the guidance counselor or when you are logged on to the Parent Portal you can click on your child’s Schedule, then click on the icon that looks like an envelope next to the teacher’s name.  That is a direct link to their email address.  You can send them an email with your questions.


Who can I talk to regarding attendance related issues?

Keep in mind that it can take up to 3 business days for attendance records to be updated, due to the fact that there is no designated Attendance Clerk and it takes time to collect data from various sources before updates can occur.  If you still have questions, you can call the main office at (845) 657-2373 and ask to speak with Donna Beesmer.


If I have any other questions about the Infinite Campus Parent Portal who should I contact?

Please do not call the school with any questions about how the Infinite Campus Parent Portal system operates.  All questions must be emailed to the following address:
parentportalhelp@onteora.k12.ny.us.  If your question is about your child’s grades then you may contact that teacher only.  If your question is an attendance issue then you can either contact a specific teacher or call the main office at 657-2373 and ask to speak with Donna Beesmer.  All other questions must be directed to the email address given!
