Lance Edelman - Principal

 
It is both an honor and a pleasure for me to serve the Onteora Community as the Principal of the High School. Over the last few years, there have been many positive changes at the high school.  I am overwhelmed by the amount of support that the students, faculty, and community continue to give me. I am looking forward to continuing to build on the positive climate and culture that has been established at the high school.

 

My background in education is quite diverse. I have had the opportunity of working as a school psychologist at both the elementary and secondary levels. I also have experience serving as a Coordinator of Pupil Personnel Services, which included representing the district as a Chairperson for the Committee on Special Education. My unique background has given me a comprehensive understanding of K-12 education. In addition, this experience has enhanced my knowledge of curriculum and individual student learning styles. I truly appreciate the fact that all students have the capacity to learn and that we, as educators, must find the modality that best serves the student.
