Superintendent Letter about Testing Kids Distributed for Students
December 20, 2021
Dear Parents and Guardians of Onteora Students,
We are pleased to announce that the Ulster County Department of Health has delivered free Rapid Home Antigen Tests to be disseminated to all interested Onteora families. The County has provided one test per child. These tests are to help support county residents' health and safety during the upcoming winter break. Please note these tests cannot be used as clearance to return to school or work if symptomatic. A student or staff member can only return if symptomatic with a written report from a rapid antigen test, PCR test or a doctor's note with an alternative diagnosis.
If you would like to a free Rapid test kit, they are available as follows:
For the Phoenicia and Woodstock Schools : Parents can pick up the tests in the main office of the school from 1:00-2:00 pm on Tuesday 12/21/21 and Wednesday 12/22/21. No appointments are necessary.
For Bennett Elementary School: Parents can pick up the test during 3:30pm dismissal on Tuesday 12/21/21 and Wednesday 12/22/22 at the dismissal pick-up location.
For the Onteora Middle/High School: Students can pick up tests outside the principal's office at dismissal on Tuesday 12/21/21 and Wednesday 12/22/21.
