We are happy to share that we have streamlined the process of requesting a change in your student's transportation. All transportation requests should be sent using this Transportation Change Request Form. For all requests that will be effective in the 2026-2027 school year, please complete and submit this form by June 1, 2026.

Day Care/Babysitter transportation for Grades K-8 may be available. This is possible if the day care/babysitter location is within the school district and there is an existing bus route. All Day Care/Babysitter Transportation Applications must be filed every year. They must be received by June 1, 2026, for the 2026-2027 school year. For every subsequent year, requests will be due by April 1st. For families new to the district, these requests must be submitted within 30 days of moving into Onteora.

Dual Household transportation for students in grades K–12 may be provided for those residing within district boundaries who require bus service to a second parent or guardian’s residence. Approval will be determined on a case-by-case basis. All Dual Household Transportation requests must be submitted by June 1, 2026, for the 2026-2027 school year. For every year after that, requests must be received by April 1st of the year before the school year starts. For families new to the district, these requests must be submitted within 30 days of moving into Onteora.
 

Change Bus Stop requests for Grades K-12 will be reviewed, and routes will not change until you are contacted via email by the Transportation Department. If this change is for a move within the district, please complete and return the Change of Address packet, which is available on our website, prior to submitting a transportation request.
