J. Jared

Jenny Jared lives in Hurley with her husband Matt and is the proud mother of their two children, Dylan and Faye, who both attend Onteora Middle/High School.  She is passionate about serving the Onteora School district and is deeply honored to be elected a Trustee for the Board of Education. Jenny graduated with a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and went on to co-found a non-profit with her husband that helps provide access to an array of services addressing mental health, food insecurity, enrichment for special needs individuals, substance abuse recovery and at-risk youth. She has 10 years of executive experience, currently serving as Chairperson of the Board.  Jenny's first leadership role in the district was helping to rebuild the post-covid experience as President of the Bennett Elementary PTA.  She has also served as leadership for the Booster Club at the Middle/High School, and as a member of the Woodstock Elementary PTA.  She was honored to receive the Community Member Service Award in 2023, presented by the Onteora Teachers Association.  As a Trustee, Jenny promises to remain humble, to listen with an open mind, and to always stay connected to the communities who have given her the responsibility of their trust.
