    School Tax Information

School tax bills are mailed out during the last week of August each year. Payment is due, without penalty, by September 30th. Onteora Central School District allows for the payment of taxes in three installments; however, any payments made after September 30th are subject to a penalty. Tax payments made during the month of October are subject to a 2% penalty; tax payments made during the short collection period in November are subject to a 3% penalty.

Any unpaid taxes remaining at the end of the District’s collection period are reported to the Ulster County Department of Finance in mid-November, assessed additional penalties and re-levied onto the General Tax bills issued in January. You may contact the Ulster County Department of Finance at 845-340-3431.
