The Onteora Central School District's “Meet, Greet, and Eat,” culinary fundraising event, featuring selections from local restaurateurs, will be held on Monday, May 6, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM at Onteora’s Middle School/High School cafeteria, 4166 State Rte. 28, Boiceville.

There will be a silent auction to benefit the Onteora Booster Club, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the “Phoenicia Farewell,” an event on June 8 that celebrates the 60 years that Phoenicia Elementary

Superintendent Victoria McLaren presented the results of the Communications Survey that was administered through Ulster BOCES and the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) before the holidays. The results were incredibly informative, and the District was presented with a scorecard that showed Onteora’s results benchmarked against those of over 100 school districts. The Onteora Central School District Board of Education has authorized an increase in the income limit cap for the tax exemption designed to assist eligible senior citizens and low-income disabled individuals. The new limit is $42,000, a 20 percent increase from last year’s cap of $35,000. Select the headline above for more information......

The district’s online Universal Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten registration system is now open to those eligible families.

Universal Pre-Kindergarten children must be 4 on or before December 1, 2024
Kindergarten children must be five on or before December 1, 2024
