Computer Based Testing

The New York State Education Department continues to transition to computer-based testing (CBT) as part of its commitment to both meeting the needs of 21st century learners and improving test delivery, test integrity, scoring validity, and turn-around time on testing results.  Beginning with 2016, New York State started administering some statewide assessments on computer.

Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) and Kindergarten Registration Information for the 2019-20 School Year

The Onteora Central School District is implementing a new registration system this year, so you will no longer receive paper registration packets unless you specifically request them.  We are implementing an Online Registration process that will make student registration more convenient, more efficient and more environmentally conscious.  You will no longer need to make an appointment to meet in person with our District Registrar, although she is always available to answer questions or provide assistance

Important Information About Student Meals and the Government Shutdown

The Onteora Food Service Department would like to make families impacted by the recent government shutdown (and all families with financial hardship for any reason) aware of important information regarding assistance you may be entitled to. District Enhances Security with New Visitor Management System

In light of the enhanced focus on safety and security in our schools, we are writing to let you know that we will begin using a new visitor management system in all of our schools starting in September. Part of keeping students and faculty safe is knowing who is in our buildings at all times, and our new system will enable us to do that.
